Short presentation of the idea/ Problem or challenge that the project addressesWe had been working ,as one of our club activities, on protection of wild animals including “The urodele living in Okayama.” In 2006, our school established a “life science course” to support female students interested scientific fields, and at the same time we were appointed as SSH by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. Now the life science course members are taking the lead in studying a more extended theme, “Environmental Problems.”

In 2007 to present the “Study of the growth and reproduction of Hynobius dunni ”, the “Extraction and classification of flower yeast and its function” and the “Relationship between blossoming and the biological clock”
Challenges in implementation
We have many advantages in our studying environment thanks to a lot of advice and actual guidance in doing experiments from Okayama University, Fukuyama University, Kawasaki Medical University and Okayama University of Science. On the other hand, we have had some trouble finding enough time to do our activities after school.
