Regarding your trip, I suppose every girl is excited. And we are also looking forward to seeing you all here. As for your preparation, these are the few things the would probably help you prepare.
1. Weather - it's hot in here as compared to Japan, so light clothing would be most suitable. Daytime temperature is from 28 - 30 degrees Celsius; while at night is about 22 - 25 degrees Celsius.
2. I advice that students wear long sleeve shirts while going inside the forest so as to avoid insect bites and to protect their skins from bushes, stems and twigs in the forest.
3. They are also advised to wear leech-socks when they go inside the forest. In case leech socks are not available in Japan, you can purchase those here.
4. Everyone is encouraged to wear hiking shoes (or rubber shoes) when trekking inside the forest.
5. It would be helpful when everyone brings their own light raincoat, especially when trekking inside the forest. Rain in this part of the region is very unpredictable.
6. Malaysia, being a Muslim country is quite conservative in terms of clothing style so wearing short pants and sleeveless shirts/blouses are not allowed inside the University/Campus. However, outside the campus, there wouldn't be any problem.
7. Food in Malaysia is generally spicy, although there are Chinese restaurants that serve not spicy food. Should any of the students are not able to take spicy foods, kindly tell us in advance.
