ノートルダム杯 English Speech Contest 開催について

小学生部門 10：00 ～ 12：00(予定)　中学生部門 13：00 ～ 16：00(予定)

場所

清心中学校・清心女子高等学校　中講堂

応募資格

• 近県小学校に在学の5・6年生の児童
• 近県中学校に在学の1・2・3年生の生徒

小学生部門・中学生部門ともに海外経験の有無は問いませんが、英語を母語とする生徒は対象となりません。
本コンテストにて過去優勝された方は、出場をご遠慮ください。

3つの暗唱課題から1つを選び暗唱してください。 申し込み時に課題を選択してください。 申し込み後の変更はできません。 マイクは使用しません。 原稿を見ながらの発表はできません。 1校あたりの人数制限はありません。 （英会話スクールからの応募は小学校名で扱います）	創作のみ。 テーマは自由です。 発表は3分以内で行ってください。 未発表のものに限ります。 1校2人までとします。 マイクは使用しません。 原稿を見ながらの発表はできません。 ※10月17日（金）までに発表原稿（A4タテ1枚）をご提出いただきます(申込時ではありません)。
審査基準 Pronunciation:50% Delivery:50%	審査基準 Content:40% Pronunciation:40% Delivery:20%
※DeliveryにはEye contact, Intonation, Volumeなどを含みます。

中学生の入賞者の方には、清心女子高等学校の入学試験B方式の受験資格が与えられます。

応募方法

別紙申込書に必要事項をご記入の上、9月30日（火）までに郵送またはファックスにてお申し込みください。

暗唱課題について

暗唱の前に次のフォームに従った簡単な自己紹介をし、その後、選んだ課題文を暗唱してください。

課題文はタイトルも言ってください。

自己紹介（清心花子さんの例）：下線部を自分のことに変えて言いましょう。

[A] Bottom of the 9th

Ladies and Gentlemen welcome back!
It's the bottom of the 9th.
The score is 4-2. The bases are loaded.
The count is 3 balls and 2 strikes.
The crowd is on their feet. What a game!
Here comes the pitch …
It's a … hit! It's a hit!
One run scores … two runs score.
It's a tie game.
Here comes the runner from first base.
Here comes the throw …
And the runner is … OUT! OUT!
Here comes the manager and he's not happy.
Ladies and Gentlemen.
It's a tie game.
We are going to extra innings.
Don't move a muscle!

[B] Cricket

Have you ever heard of cricket?
The sport … cricket!
No?
You know baseball, right?
There's a pitcher like baseball … but in cricket the pitcher is called a bowler.
A cricket bowler throws like this.
There's a batter like baseball … but in cricket the batter is called a batsman.
He hits like this.
There's catcher like baseball … but in cricket the catcher is called a wicket keeper.
He catches like this.
There are fielders in cricket but in cricket fielders don't use gloves only their hands.
The idea in cricket and baseball are the same: the offense hits and the defense catches.

[C] Extreme Basketball

These days, professional basketball is just too easy. I mean, look at the guys who play! They're so tall, they don't even have to jump to reach the net. We should raise the baskets, and maybe make them swing around too! And how about if the floor wobbles around, up and down, side to side. Maybe we need some obstacles too: like, holes that open suddenly in the floor, or have basketballs go flying out of the walls, and if they hit you, you're out, like dodge ball. And we could let a wild animal, like a lion, run around too! That would be cool!
